This is at the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong.
This airport was notorious for the crazy approach pilots had to make on final. The Alitalia MD-11 landing shown here was pretty common as far as landings went at Kai Tak. If you can land your plane in Hong Kong, you can land it anywhere, is the saying that goes around in the aviation world.
