from youtube: “Click here for lyrics 6 year old Heather Martin sings a song that her mother wrote for her Brother Shaun who is serving in Iraq. The song is written from Heather’s point of view.”

In this video there is a 6 year old girl singing a song she wrote (I assume she had a lot of help) for her older brother who is currently serving in iraq and cannot make it home for Christmas. It really brings it home when you think about all the brave men and women serving their country to keep us safe at home!

Have a safe and Happy Holidays!

December 22nd, 2006HP Digital Photography

These days everyone and their uncle are into digital photography. It is such an interesting hobby to have. It does require some basic skill to take some great photographs. I however can only speak on behalf of other people since I do not own one. If I need to take pictures for an occasion I will borrow a friends digital camera. Sometimes they have really nice ones. It always makes you worried when you borrow something.

It’d be really cool to get a HP 6MP camera. The quality on them must be amazing since they are new and have such high resolution as 6 million pixels. They are really sleek too! HP are usually associated with quality and have been around for a long time. I already have a regular HP printer but I hear that they make really awesome photo printers as well.

Since it is Christmas time and the time of the year for giving it would be amazing to get one of those HP digital cameras that are boasting 6MP!

It would really be cool to be able to have a camera with high resolution that would allow you to take high quality images that will appear as though they were taken with a Digital SLR camera. You could pass the time away and take breathtaking sights. With 6MP you could enlarge the prints and have them hung on your wall in a large frame or even have them printed on a canvas and spread them around your house and people would think they were paintings.

December 20th, 2006David E. Sugar vs Ears First OK

I don’t normally like this kind of music but the beat is really catchy and i like the concept of the whole video. I like the way they filmed it and presented it. Good job overall. It is worth a watch. From youtube: “David E. Sugar vs Ears collaboration on Brikabrak EP features three tracks ‘First Ok’, ‘Half of my step’ and ‘Everything Fine, Everything Bless’” Read the rest of this entry »

December 20th, 2006WWJD (a music video)

This is a really funny movie that is worth the watch. From youtube: “A music video to watch while you skip church this Sunday. Written and performed by Julie Wittner (”The George Lopez Show”) and Ryan Smith (writer for “Mad TV”), and directed by Kim Evey (”The OC”). This song started out as a live sketch at the ACME Comedy Theatre in L.A. If you like sharp, Daily Show type political satire, you’ll enjoy this country-western, Christian music parody!”

December 20th, 2006Greg Benson Hits Hollywood

from youtube: “It’s amazing what people put up with just to be “on TV”… Shot at Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.”

This funny video is about a guy named Greg Benson going around and interviewing people. They put up with so much of his annoying antics just so that they can be on tv. He keeps asking them to repeat their names and they do it. He also keeps banging them in the chin with his microphone and they dont object to it or even say anything. It really is hilarious what people will put up with just for their 15 seconds of fame.

December 18th, 2006Pay Per Post Startup

Sponsored Post:

PayPerPost is a very popular site now. You will notice that many bloggers use this service. It allows bloggers to make money posing about certain topics that are offered to them. It is a great advertising machine for its clients and provides a great way for bloggers to make money.

In the video below you can see the lead PayPerPost guy named Ted and Britt as they try to launch PayPerPost. In the beginning of the video you can see Ted go to three interviews in search of capitol for funding PayPerPost. He managed to get 3 million dollars out of those three interviews. Amazing if you ask me. I think they really went the right way about this venture and it is a huge success already.

You can also see Britt and Ted setting up at a convention to showcase their new site. This is the first installment of their series of videos documenting their startup.

December 18th, 2006Money Saving Advice

This is a sponsored post:

These days the world revolves around money. Some people have it and some people don’t. If you are one of the few that don’t you are in trouble. You need money to buy things. You can get credit cards which will loan you the money but you will have to pay it back or face a lot of interest.

The Thrifty Scot is a website that gives advice on money saving. They give advice on the following topics:

credit cards: On this page they describe different types of credit cards you can obtain and they show the cheapest ones that have the best value. They also have many credit card articles on this site to help you better understand the credit card process.

secured loans: On this page they provide the reader with articles about loans and an up to date chart of which loan supplier provides the cheapest rates and the loan amount they will allow you to take out.

mortgages: The mortgage page is unlike the other pages in some ways. It also provides useful articles that can help you understand mortgages. The main difference is the fact that it has a mortgage application signup sheet right on the page. It allows you to submit it to a consultant that will discuss mortagages with you and your application.

savings accounts: The savings accounts page is simliar to the rest. It contains useful articles and has a chart right on the page that shows savings account providers and their AER and overdraft rate. It also shows the minmum deposit which is really useful when looking for a savings account provider.

home insurance: The home insurance page has a very useful chart that provides you with all the details you will need when looking for home insurance, car insurance, life insurance and even travel insurance. They also provide a section that shows how much of an online discount you get per provider that you select.
